There’s no question that Willamette Valley Granola Chips taste great solo. You can crunch on them at home or on-the-go and with four different flavors to choose from, you can pick whatever taste suits your mood. But what about fun and healthier ways to chip it? Here are some ideas that will deliver whole grain nutrition upgrades bite after bite.
1) Mini-chip-whiches: Whether you make your ice cream sandwich using organic dairy ice cream or dairy-free coconut ice “cream” or a ready-made soy ice “cream” sandwich, scooping in WVGC chips to make mini-chip-whiches gives you so much more (quantity and nutrition-wise)… take 10 chips (mix-n-match flavors for extra fun) and grab a teaspoon. Place five chips flat on a plate, add a teaspoonful of your ice cream and then top. Bite into each one and enjoy! The Granola Chip provides low-calorie whole grains and is a perfect partner to your ice cream of choice. The portion control reduces calories while allowing you to still have several bites of deliciousness.
2) Veggie dippin’: Whether you have a toddler at home or you’re enjoying the organic vegetable purees now available in squeeze packs, you can pair your favorite veggie with a whole grain dipper from WVGC, which will add a little sweetness and crunch. So while you teach your kids to enjoy their veggies, you can practice what you preach.
3) Coffee, tea & WVGC: Many times we want something on the sweeter side with our coffee or tea – and in doing so we grab a scone, muffin, or biscotti that often delivers too much added sugar and artificial ingredients. With coffee, tea or even an organic green juice, you can easily include a serving of Granola Chips to truly enjoy the “little something sweet” you seek without overdoing it. For nutrient balance (which brings optimal energy) try adding a handful of nuts, or some nut butter to spread on the chips.
